Jeremy Tustin

jtustinJeremy is an ex-Young Genner himself!

After graduating from Mountview Theatre School, Jeremy appeared in numerous West End, touring and rep seasons. Now travelling all over the UK and Ireland directing and choreographing shows, Jeremy is one of the most sought after Directors having received numerous NODA awards and critical acclaim for his productions, including the Somerset Fellowship awards and Rose Bowl.

NODA awards in recent years include Best Show in the North West Region and Best Director for ‘Les Miserables’ (Amateur Premiere) and Best Musical Staging for his production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Also, Best Overall Musical Production in the NODA Eastern Region winning the top award of the Councillors Cup for his production of ‘The Producers’ in Norwich, plus Best Overall Musical Production and Best Director in the Wales Region for ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

Now with over 100 shows under his belt, Jeremy has his own production company which won several awards at the Waterford International Festival in 2007 with ’Grand Hotel’, including Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

Many of the productions that Jeremy has directed for Young Gen have been NODA nominated and award winners including: Honk! (winner of Best Youth Performer for Bart Lambert as Ugly; nominated for Best Youth Producton – Young Gen’s Les Miserables production won that year!) and  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (winner of Best Youth Production) and most recently Hairspray which was nominated for Best Youth Production but lost out to Young Gen’s other production that year Cats, and winner of Best Youth Performer for Carmel Adekunle for her role as Motormouth Maybelle.
